The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
- Prepare and compile the monthly financial reporting package
- Reconcile intercompany accounts across our development projects and resolve discrepancies
- Review construction progress compared to budget to identify any variances or potential errors
- Ensure accurate costing for closed homes and completed developments to support both financial reporting and operational decision-making
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure transactions are properly recorded
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulations
- Assist with both internal and external audits by providing required documentation and support
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data
- Participate in other accounting projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
